Snow gets mixed reviews!

December 20, 2008
Yesterday we got a big snow storm and the babies were so excited to watch it snowing from the window when they got up from their nap.

Today we got ready to go out and play in all the new snow. Landon was excited to go outside and didn't really mind being bundled up.
Emma wasn't happy to be bundled up.
As soon as they got out in the snow Landon started to cry. It was hard for them to walk because there is so much snow.

They took shelter in their playhouse. Not much snow had gotten in. video

We tried pulling Landon on the sled and tub, but he was just not happy to be outside in the snow. Daddy took him inside to warm up. Emma and I stayed outside and played for a little while longer. I need to find better mittens for both of them. They kept falling off. Does anyone have a trick to keeping them on.

Looks like Emma had lots of fun. Poor Landon being forced out into the cold, LOL!

For the mittens you can try to find mitten clips. One end clips onto the mitten and the other clips onto the sleeve of her coat. Meghan also has one pair of mittens that are attached by a string that goes through the sleeves of her coat so they can't really fall off or get lost. We need new mittens too. The girls kept freezing their little fingers.

They will probably like it better when they get a little older. Autumn was that way last year with the snow. She screamed the whole time we were out in it but this year she seems to really like it. Just keep taking them out even if it's for just a few minutes and they'll get used to it. Autumn's mittens keep coming off too. They look so cute all bundled up! Little snow babies.

as far as mittens- aaron would not even wear them last year, they might do better with gloves. he wore his mittens this year without a fight

Where do you get gloves that little? I haven't seen them anywhere, but gloves would be better so they could pick stuff up.
